League Table
Here is the league table, as it currently stands, with the 8 team 8 points ahead of Cricket Club B.
Church Stretton A got back to winning ways tonight, after last weeks heavy defeat against Premier League 3rd place club Prees A.
The A team won 6-4, taking them 8 points clear at the top of the table. This means that to win the title, Cricket Club B would need to beat Cricket Club C by 10-0 in their final game next Thursday.
Church Stretton A gained promotion last night, after Tilstock lost 4-6 to Pontesbury. Tilstock were the only other team that could mathmatically catch CS A.
The other promotion place will be Shrewsbury CC B.
Church Stretton A's 10 game winning run came to an end on Tuesday night, when they lost 7-3 away Pontesbury. They are now 6 points ahead of Cricket Club B, but have played a game more than their second place rivals.
The B team were in action on Thursday night, at home to Rushbury B. but unfortunately went down 9-1.
Church Stretton A went back to the top of Division 1 last night after defeating Cricket Club C 9-1 at Silvester Horne. They have the narrowest of margins (4 points) with 2 games left to play. Four more points from the last 2 games will secure promotion to the Premier Division.
The B team were in action on Monday night, away against Rushbury C, where they came away with a creditable 5-5 draw.
No game this week for the A team. Their cup match against Prees A was postponed until the beginning of April.
Shrewsbury CC B beat Pontesbury 8-2 last night, in their game in hand and reduced Church Stretton A's lead at the top to just one point. Both teams have 3 games left to play.
Also last night, the B team lost 9-1 to Shrewsbury CC E at Silvester Horne.
The A team scored another victory against Gains Park B on Wednesday night. A tough match saw them come away 7-3 victors.
The B team were in action on Thursday and went down 3-7 to Gains Park C.
Wilf Turner was man of the match winning all 3 of his matches.
Church Stretton A remains at the top of Division 1 after a convincing 10-0 win away at Rushbury A. Second and third placed teams Shrewsbury Cricket Club B and Tilstock drew 5-5, which means Stretton are now 12 points clear of 2nd place SCC B, albeit they have a game in hand.
The B team were not in action this week, as their game against SCC E was postponed.
Church Stretton A will be playing Prees A at home, in the 2nd round of the Handicap Cup.

The A team narrowly defeated Unison at Shirehall last night in the first round of the Handicap Cup. The score was 426-290, but after Unison's handicap Stretton won by a margin of just 14 points.
They have been rewarded with a home tie against either Prees A or Gains Park B on 5th March 2026.
The A team maintained their place at the top of the table after beating Tilstock 8-2 on Thursday evening. Cricket Club B move up to 2nd place, 7 points behind, after thrashing Gains Park B 10-0.
The B team were in action also on Thursday but were sadly defeated 8-2 by Cricket Club D.
A good win against a strong Shrewsbury Cricket Club B team side, ensures that the A team maintain their place at the top of Division 1 this week. The score was 7-3 to CS.
The B team were not in action this week, as their match was postponed.
Mixed fortunes for Church Stretton this week. Firstly, on Tuesday night the B team were defeated 10-0 by top of the table Rushbury B, despite some close scores in the individual matches.
The, on Thursday night the A team defeated Pontesbury 8-2 at Ticklerton. The A team move to the top of the table, although second place Shrewsbury CC have a game in hand.

CSA were in action last night against Cricket Club C. In difficult conditions, they came away with a 7-3, taking them into 2nd place in the table. Scorecard here.
No game for the A team this week, but the B team were in action against Shrewsbury Cricket Club D.
Despite the 10-0 defeat, there were plenty of close games and they put out their best performance to date.
Church Stretton B were defeated 3-7 earlier in the week by Gains Park C. Wilf Turner won all 3 of his matches giving him a 100% record.
The A team were in action for their first game at Silvester Horne and defeated Gains Park 10-0, moving them up to 3rd place in the league table.
The A team will play Unison away in the 2nd Round of the Handicap Cup, whilst the B te4am will travel to Shrewsbury Cricket Club to play their B team.

The B team suffered a 7-3 defeat to Shrewsbury CC E, whilst the A team recorded an 8-2 victory against Rushbury A, which moves them into 3rd place in the table.
Shrewsbury CC B are currently top of the Division 1 table after their win last night against Tilstock.
The first team suffered a heavy defeat tonight at the hands of Tilstock. Although there were some close games, the final score was 8-2 to Tilstock.
The first team had a convincing victory tonight against Cricket Club C. The score was 418-286 and means that the final will be against Cricket Club B, the date of which is to be advised.
Rushbury C came out the victors last night against the B team, after a hard fought battle.
This means that Rushbury C will go on to play Rushbury B in the Division 2 final.
Church Stretton won a closely fought inaugural match last night by 354-330 at Silvester Horne. Church Stretton started the stronger of the 2 teams, but Unison fought back well towards the latter stages.
The first team has now played 2 of their 3 games in the Divisional Cup. The results in tis competition are based on total number of points score on the night, not on games.
The first game was a 377-256 win against Rushbury A and the second was a win against Gains Park B by 386 to 271.
The second team's first game has been re-arranged to 30th October and is against Unison. Their second game is against Rushbury C on 3rd November.
The league have recently released the fixtures for the coming season. There will be 3 divisions again, but there is also a divisional cup played at the beginning of the season.
Church Stretton will be entering 2 teams into the league, in just their 3rd year, showing that the club is showing its growth potential.
